Electronic Arts gibt bekannt, dass das Download Pack Dead Space 2: Severed (PS3, Xbox 360) am 01.03.11 auf Xbox Live und am 02.03.11 im PlayStation Network weltweit erscheinen wird. Das Pack soll die Handlung von Dead Space 2 um zwei neue Kapitel in der Solo-Kampagne erweitern. Darin erlebt der Spieler die Geschichte von Gabe Weller aus Dead Space Extraction: Der Sicherheits-Offizier ist mit einer stark verbesserten Pulse Rifle bewaffnet und trägt ein "Security Outfit". In diesem Kapitel kehrt auch das Twitcher-Monster aus dem Original Dead Space zurück. Der Preis beträgt USD 6,99 im PSN oder 560 Microsoft-Punkte auf Xbox Live. Außerdem sind zu Dead Space 2 jetzt neue Outfits und Waffen-Pakete auf dem Xbox Live Marktplatz und im PSN zu haben:
